Every successful business begins with a simple idea.
But an idea alone is rarely enough. Turning it into a viable venture requires knowledge, guidance, resilience, and the courage to take the first step. Across Africa, thousands of young entrepreneurs aspire to build businesses that solve real problems, create jobs, and strengthen their communities. What many still need is the right support to transform that ambition into reality.
This July, Leading Change Africa officially launched the 2026 LCAP Blueprint Program, welcoming a new cohort of aspiring and early-stage entrepreneurs ready to develop promising concepts into sustainable ventures.
The Leading Change Accelerator Program Blueprint is a 10-week virtual accelerator designed for young African entrepreneurs at the idea stage or within the first year of operating a business. Through a combination of self-paced learning on the YAM Education platform, live facilitated sessions, and one-on-one mentorship, participants gain the tools to validate their ideas, develop viable business models, build a Minimum Viable Product, and prepare their ventures for future investment opportunities.

More Than an Accelerator
Entrepreneurship is not simply about starting a business. It is about identifying opportunities where others see challenges, creating value, and building solutions that improve lives.
Throughout the program, participants will explore every stage of the entrepreneurial journey. They will learn how to develop a compelling business plan, understand their target market, test and refine their MVP, and communicate their vision with confidence through effective pitching.
Each lesson is designed to move participants one step closer to launching businesses that are not only innovative but also sustainable and scalable.
Learning, Building, and Growing
The Blueprint Program goes beyond theory by encouraging participants to apply what they learn throughout the accelerator. With guidance from experienced mentors, facilitators, and industry professionals, participants will test their assumptions, gather feedback, and continuously refine their business ideas.
Over the 10 weeks, they will work toward developing a clear business plan, validating their business model, and building or improving a Minimum Viable Product. They will also strengthen their storytelling and pitching skills, preparing them to confidently present their ventures to potential investors, partners, customers, and other key stakeholders.
Investing in Africa's Entrepreneurs
Every entrepreneur who joins the Blueprint Program has the potential to create employment, stimulate innovation, and contribute to Africa’s economic development.
By supporting young entrepreneurs at the earliest stages of their journeys, Leading Change Africa is helping them develop practical solutions, stronger business models, and purpose-driven ventures.
At the end of the accelerator, the three highest-performing ventures will receive seed funding. All participants will also benefit from continued mentorship and integration into LCA’s alumni network, creating pathways for ongoing learning, collaboration, and professional growth.
The 2026 LCAP Blueprint Program is designed to help promising ideas move toward viable ventures while preparing young entrepreneurs to contribute meaningfully to the continent's future.
